Artist Shawn Huckins takes on the challenge by incorporating scenes into paint-swatch gradients. Employing a retro style that depicts average-Joe citizens in down-home environments, Huckins creates a sort of commentary on daily life while paint swatches serve as the backdrop."

SEBASTIAN ERRAZURIZ (1977)
Artist and designer

Chilean born, New York based artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz was raised in London; took art classes in Washington DC, film courses in Edinburgh, and obtained a design degree in Santiago. He later received his Master’s in Fine Arts from New York University. He currently lives and works in New York with parallel workshops in Santiago.

A prodigious and obsessive workaholic, Sebastian became, at the age of 28, the second living South American artist to have work auctioned at Sotheby’s Important Twentieth Century Design year of sale. In 2007 Errazuriz was selected one of the top emerging international designers by I.D. Magazine. In 2010 he received the title of Chilean Designer of the Year. In 2011 he was selected for the Compasso d’ Oro and at the end of that year his work was the talk of Design Miami Basel.

Quem se lembrou do conceito foi um dos meninos-prodígio da Internet, o inglês Adrian Bliss, que produziu para uma trupe cómica – os Dead Parrot, referência à rábula dos Monty Python – uma série a que chamou YouTube Comment Reconstructions.

Basicamente, tiveram a ideia genial de fazer pequenas cenas filmadas à maneira de um film noir e cujos diálogos entre os dois personagens são tirados, palavra por palavra, frase por frase, das discussões mais estapafúrdias e insanas e ridículas que acontecem na zona de comentários do YouTube.

O canal no youtube é Dead Parrot, com todos os restantes vídeos desta série – cinco, até agora, com um sexto já pronto para sair.
